About

Løgømyx is the audiovisual project of Belgian producer and classically trained pianist Menno Dereu. Field recordings and real-world sound meet experimental electronics, in a world where the organic and the digital merge.

It started with a guitar at twelve. Matt Bellamy led him to the piano, and from there to Chopin and Rachmaninoff. Jon Hopkins' Immunity opened the door to electronic music, followed by Floating Points, Rival Consoles and Max Cooper.

His music is out on Blank Dust, Conduit Records and Arvet, the label of Sailor & I, with a release on Mesh coming up and remixes by Alex Banks and Aparde. Live, he plays modular synthesizers with visuals synchronised to the sound: a journey rather than a DJ set.

Nothing here is prompted or generated by AI. Each piece starts as a system I build myself in TouchDesigner, Max/MSP, GLSL and Python, shaped by sound and finished in After Effects and Premiere Pro. The result is work with intent behind every frame, made to your brief and owned by you.
